In every generation, there
Is one platypus of each type,
That guards the
Nests against thieves, the eggs of these nest
Guardians are well hidden by
The mother.
Earth Platypus, born from the soil,
Hatched in winterfrozen ground,
First, you need to dig, then you must boil,
And finally set this guy down.
Quite acrobatic, they hide very high,
To hatch while they are falling free.
Use your sling on flying Platypi,
And bait them with some fine pastries.
Born in blazing, noxious heat,
Fire Platypi will breed
In seething geysers, you will need,
Barbecue tongs to succeed.
Hidden near the sparkling shore,
A Zebrafish you have to score,
To hatch Water Platypi,
But the zebrafish must die.
Your legs are short, your nose is flat.
I must admit, I fancy that
Oh Platypus, you are the best,
Upon your breast, I'll gladly rest.
I like your pretty face so well
And your sweet platypussy smell
you're cuter than a batty wuss,
You look just like a platypus.
Into your eye I'm fondly gazing -
You're not a platypus. amazing!
